Kate Binder photo
Kate Binder holds a B.A. in English Writing from New Hampshire’s Plymouth State College. After graduation, she became managing editor at Network Publications, a publisher of several city magazines in New Hampshire. After that, she put in stints at The Woburn Advocate, a tabloid-format weekly paper in Woburn, Mass., and Wayne Green, Inc., a trade magazine publisher in Peterborough, N.H. Then she spent several years with Octal Publishing, a book composition house in Atkinson, N.H. In 1992 Kate founded a freelance writing and graphic design business, Ursa Editorial Design, and in 1999 she merged that business with The Minister of Information to create Prospect Hill Publishing Services.

Along the way, Kate has written dozens of magazine articles on desktop publishing topics for magazines including Publish, PEI, and Desktop Publishers Journal. She is the author of several books, including The Complete Idiot's Guide to Mac OS X, Easy Adobe Photoshop 6, Teach Yourself QuarkXPress 4 in 14 Days, and Photoshop 4 Complete. She designed and executed bluesreviews.com, a blues music reviews Web site curated by Don.

Don Fluckinger photo
Don Fluckinger was graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in Magazine Journalism. His first postgraduate position was as a reporter for the daily Ironton Tribune in Ironton, Ohio. From there, Don moved to New Hampshire to work as editor-in-chief of Music Retailing and The Secret Guide to Music at Wayne Green, Inc., in Peterborough, N.H. He later went to Desktop Publishers Journal, where he was editor, and still later was persuaded to try his hand at editing books at Rockport Publishers in Gloucester, Mass. In 1994 Don became The Minister of Information, and in 1999 he joined forces with Kate to form Prospect Hill Publishing Services.
